Oyila Prep account and data deletion
Oyila Prep is operated by Cloudpilar. This page explains how users can request deletion of their Oyila Prep account and associated app data.
How to request account deletion
- Sign in to Oyila Prep.
- Open Settings in the app.
- Choose Delete account, if available.
In the web app, open Settings while signed in.
Or email oyilaprepsupport@cloudpilar.com from the email address linked to your Oyila Prep account. Use subject line: Account deletion request. Include the email address used for your Oyila Prep account.
How to request deletion of some data only
Users can request deletion of specific data without deleting their whole account by emailing oyilaprepsupport@cloudpilar.com.
Use subject line: Data deletion request. Say which data you want deleted, such as uploaded questions, scanned questions, imported questions, study progress, saved decks/cards, practice history, or AI tutor activity.
Data we delete
When your request is verified, we delete or anonymise data linked to your Oyila Prep account where legally and technically possible, including:
- Account profile and sign-in access
- Study progress
- Practice history
- Uploaded, scanned, or imported questions
- Saved decks and cards
- AI tutor/question-scan activity linked to your account
- Plan/account data where technically possible
Data we may keep
We may retain limited records where required for:
- Billing, tax, refunds, or payment disputes
- Security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, or investigation
- Legal or regulatory obligations
- System backups and logs for a limited period
- Anonymised or aggregated analytics that no longer identify you
Processing time and retention
We normally process verified deletion requests within 30 days after identity and account ownership are confirmed.
Some backup, billing, security, fraud-prevention, tax, or legal records may be retained for up to 90 days or longer where required by law, payment providers, or security obligations.
Active subscriptions
Deleting your Oyila Prep account does not automatically cancel future subscription charges. If you have an active paid plan, cancel it first through the payment provider you used, such as Stripe, Paystack, Google Play, Apple, or the relevant app store/payment provider.
